Winning!

After forgetting all about this project for half the month, I'm proud to say I've 'won' Script Frenzy. My Musical, "The Brief Immortals," clocks in at 105 pages. While that may not be a mammoth book for a musical, I'm damn proud of what I have.

As such, here's the play's finale, 'Last Try (Reprise).'

ISAAC
I'm lucky to've lived
more lives than any one man should get.
And now my voice
Cries out in glee, saying, 'you haven't lived life yet.'

ANDI
I've purchased my soul
Reclaimed from trappings of fortune and fame.
My credits aglow
I'm proud to inhabit my given name!

BONES
I've emerged from the shade
Clean and repaid for the sins of my past
I've thrown down omission
Ready to say yes and sing out at last!

CHORUS
All we ask
All we're given
Is just once chance
our only chance
To try.
Now we're ready
Now we're willing
To throw down doubt
Sing it out
and try.

Daily given the strength
Granted the wisdom
To better life's woes
Past forever behind
Present in mind we find serenity.
Clear now I see: Happiness is a choice.
When the dawn burns
My choice reaffirms
In an unwavering voice!

I know tomorrow
Will bring one more chance
To try.
Cast off the sorrow
Always one more chance
To try.
I know tomorrow
Will bring one more chance
To try.
Cast off the sorrow
Always one more chance
To try.
